PASSISTAS
The Passistas are our advanced / pro Samba performance team. The team is dedicated to pro level training and upholding the integrity of Samba culture and Escola de Samba Sydney. Many of our Passistas have paraded in Rio Carnaval and are professional dancers.
The Passistas perform at community events as a group and also with Bateria 61. The team is coached by Jeska Jane and Sashya Jay.
REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN THE TEAM

Joining the Passista team is via invitation from the team coaches only.

Passistas are required to be at level 6 Samba– Passista, Projeto and ideally have been to Brazil to train and parade in Carnaval.

Dedication and commitment to high level training and upholding the integrity of Escola de Samba Sydney is essential.
EXPECTATIONS OF A PASSISTAS

Consistently attending classes weekly at Escola as per team requirements.

Attending the monthly team training session and any extra sessions required for community events.

Abiding by and honouring the Passista team requirements.
